Dear friends and colleagues,

The UNICEF Innocenti Research Centre is seeking to recruit an
experienced researcher with a background in quantitative research on
social and economic policy issues, who would be interested in taking
time out for 18 or more months to design, organise and conduct research
on children and poverty in developing and transition economies. The
assignment will be a unique opportunity to contribute to academic
knowledge as well as to policy advocacy through UNICEF and its partners.
Published research by IRC can be found at www.unicef.org/irc.

Please see attached job description, in UN terms it is a Temporary Fixed
Term post, initially 18 months renewable up to 48 months. Applications
close 20 September 2006.

I would be very grateful if you could pass on this message - through
your contacts - to suitable persons you know who might be interested. We
hope to reach potential candidates from all continents.

Many thanks for the time you may find to help us on this. With very
best regards.
