UCL International Institute for Society & Health
Welfare States and Public Health - Conference
Friday 5 October 2007, 9am - 4pm

The Scandinavian welfare-state model has been shown to have a positive
influence on important social determinants of health like poverty.
But have those social policies also impacted on public health? If they have,
what lessons could be learnt by other countries from the
Nordic experience of the past 100 years?

UCL International Institute for Society and Health is hosting a one day
conference at UCL

Full details ATTACHED

To RSVP and register please send your full contact details and details of
any special needs to Jane Johnson ( iish at ucl.ac.uk ). A final programme
and venue details will be sent to by return. No charge will be made for this
event but places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served
basis. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Many thanks
