Subject: CALL TO PARTICIPATE
Hello Delegates,
Call for Participation/Application to AN INTERNATIONAL
CONFERENCE ON THE ERADICATION OF MALARIA on 1st
October till the 10th of October 2007 in London United
Kingdom by the MALARIA RESEARCH CENTER (MRC), where as
many as 300 participants, from the public health
sector and other fields relating to health are
expected to attend.
The Malaria Conference is a premier meeting in the
field of Malaria Research. This years meeting takes
place at a particularly exciting time: following a
period of increased international focus and advocacy,
global investment in malaria control is rising and
there is increased optimism about the possibility of
real impact on the global malaria burden. At the same
time the history of malaria control cautions that we
will need a continued emphasis on both basic and
operational research, and the development of new
approaches, if any gains achieved are to be
maintained. The emphasis of the meeting will be on
understanding the clinical and epidemiological aspects
of malaria and on the ways in which malaria can be
controlled and even defeated. Invited speakers an
discussion leaders will present recent ground-breaking
findings. New developments will also be featured
through the use of featured poster sessions. The
meeting will be highly interactive with the
opportunity for researchers at all stages of their
career to share experiences and debate with
international leaders in the field. A particular
emphasis of the conference will be ensuring the active
participation of researchers from malaria endemic
countries. The meeting offers an excellent opportunity
for anyone interested in malaria to update on the most
recent developments in understanding clinical and
epidemiological aspects of malaria and of the
potential for new approaches to control.
In addition to the main program, the meeting will also
host book launches, artistic and cultural activities.
All plenaries and selected breakout sessions will have
Interpretation into English, Spanish and French.
Who can participate?
What happens if more than 300 apply?
Anyone who is a public health worker (doctors, nurses,
lab scientist, pharmacist, parastiologist etc), NGO's,enviromenalists,
