National Health Links Conference
"20 Years of Health Links: What Next?"
Alexander Fleming Building, Imperial College,
South Kensington Campus, London SW7 2AZ
Friday 6th June 2008, 10:00-16:30
The conference programme includes:-
· The opportunity to share others' experience of Health Links*
· To hear about the context for the development of Health Links in the future
· To look at how to position Health Links within regional and country strategic plans
· Comparing approaches to capacity building using health link case studies
· Break out sessions on Joint needs assessments, Funding and Developing programmes from Health Links
· Time for questions and comments
Participants include overseas health link partners
Department of Health and Department for International Development representatives have been invited

Registration fee is £15 which includes the cost of lunch and refreshments. Inquire about bursaries if you would like to come, but would have difficulty raising funds to attend.
* Links are long term partnerships between NHS institutions in the UK and their counterparts in developing countries. Links respond to priority needs identified by the overseas partner. The main focus is on teaching and training health workers, on building institutional capacity, training trainers, and helping to develop better systems of managing and delivering healthcare.
